Changes in behavior or sleep patterns are common symptoms we see in children going through life transitions. By creating a safe space for children to express their wants and needs without judgement is the first step in understanding their own emotions. I offer traditional psychotherapy for older children, cognitive behavioral therapy for all ages, mindfulness techniques, as well as dance/movement therapy for those kids in need of a more physical approach and help with social and emotional empathy.
Parents are encouraged to be active in decision making and continuing goals outside of therapy sessions. We all grow with encouragement and reminders throughout the week in between sessions; since a therapist cannot be with your child every day, I support parents in continuing the work in my absence.
