“But I don’t dance…” "I don’t know how to dance…”
Don’t let the title scare you from trying creative approaches to improving your mental health.
Sometimes we have the words to express how we are feeling without bringing our body along for the ride.
Sometimes our body is holding all of our emotions and our brain has trouble making sense of it all.
Moving to connect our whole being can be an amazing and eye-opening experience. It can be as “simple” as attuning with your breath or as “grand” as leaping across a floor.
For Children: Typically, children are drawn to movement without any effort making sessions fun and playful while allowing the space for them to start understanding how their behavior can interact with the outside world. This approach helps children with attachment, communication, self-regulation, relationships, and self-esteem. For Adults (individual or couples): Dance/movement therapy for adults will be as unique as you are. I will meet you where you are by creating a safe and contained space for you to explore your needs for therapy. Whether this means sitting on a couch face to face and focusing on spoken words or witnessing your exploration in movement. I always allow time for processing sessions whether out loud or in movement.
I am a Rainbowdance practitioner and offer Toddler or Preschool groups in your home or school. I am available for after school and weekend groups. Please see the Fees page for more information.
